career video

PIM will assist employers to produce a career video about its careers and occupations. We connect these videos to local students and to workforce development organizations to promote career / job exploration.

This allows users to see real-world experience, what the day to day job is about, the education and training required, and what they could earn. The students will have a link to the employer’s profile page to see current job postings in their area.

This is the best picture possible to show an accurate career pathway, all by video.

Work-based learning experiences

Work-based learning (WBL) is a set of instructional strategies that engages employers and schools in providing learning experiences for students. WBL activities are structured opportunities for students to interact with employers or community partners either at school, at a worksite, or virtually, using technology to link students and employers in different locations.

The purposes of WBL are to build student awareness of potential careers, facilitate student exploration of career opportunities, and begin student preparation for careers. These awareness, exploration, and preparation activities help students make informed decisions about high school course and program enrollment and about postsecondary education and training.
